The California Wild Rice Advisory Board is a California Marketing Program that represents California wild rice as a commodity, as well as the producers and handlers that work to grow, produce, package, and ship California wild rice.
Marketing Programs are instrumentalities of the State of California that enable agricultural producers and handlers to work together to maintain and expand both domestic and international markets for agricultural commodities. The CWRAB shares the purpose of serving the industry and the public by helping producers and handlers manage issues that affect them.

Marketing programs, such as the CWRAB, are a result of an industry vote. The CWRAB is self-supporting, paying for our own operating and administrative cost with oversight by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Marketing programs are required by law to serve the public interests. Examples of benefits to the public include: Consumer Education, Research, and Exports, to name a few. If you have any questions regarding the CWRAB's benefits to the public, we encourage you to contact our office.
